IT Cosmetics CC Cream
I purchased the IT Cosmetics CC cream when I went to the Melbourne Sephora opening last year.
There are five shades available;
- Fair (the one I have)
IT Cosmetics says this is a "Full Coverage Color Correcting Cream, Anti-Aging Serum plus Broad Spectrum Physical Only SPF 50+ In One!"
It's a "your skin but better" product.
"Developed with leading plastic surgeons, Your Skin But Better® CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ is truly a multi-tasking beauty miracle. It’s your SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Physical only sunscreen that protects against the rays that both burn your skin and age your skin. CC+™ is infused with cutting edge Anti-Aging technology and is clinically shown to improve skin texture, brightness and increase skin hydration by 79%. The Anti-Aging hydrating formula is infused with Peptides, Niacin, Algae, Vitamins A, C, B, E, Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen along with Antioxidants and exotic natural botanicals for long-term brightening and color-correcting benefits."
I wanted to try this because it sounds like a foundation that's actually good for your skin, or a tinted sunscreen/moisturiser with the coverage of a foundation. Either way you look at it, it sounds good!
The shade of this is perfect for my skin tone in Winter. Speaking of Winter, this is a product I can only use in Winter. It's very dewy and certainly not made for combination/oily skin.
I apply this with a damp beauty blender, and use about two pumps for my full face.
I can't believe how much coverage this gives, it's amazing. It doesn't cover everything, but it's got the equivalent of a medium to full coverage foundation (depends on how much you build it up).
If you have combination or oily skin, you'll definitely want to set this with a powder. Even still, I find my oil comes shining through after a couple of hours.
- Great coverage
- Good for the skin and you don't need a separate sunscreen.
- This has a really really strong smell, and it's horrible. The smell almost puts me off using it!
- Doesn't have any oil control
- Not long lasting
See below for pictures;
Despite this not being very long lasting, I think it's a beautiful CC cream. It gives a gorgeous glow the skin and saves me time in the morning applying sunscreen. This is probably the perfect alternative to foundation if you're going to be outside in the sun all day.
I really like this and I'll probably repurchase it again! :)
